Overview
Canton Network operates a public blockchain that allows regulated financial institutions to tokenize assets, move collateral, and conduct transactions with built-in privacy controls. It connects previously siloed financial systems so that assets and data can move across applications in real time without relying on central intermediaries. Use cases include crypto derivatives, on-chain financing, and stablecoin payments. The network is governed in part by the Canton Foundation, which oversees the Global Synchronizer, the decentralized interoperability layer underpinning the network.
