Fuel Ignition operates as an Ethereum layer-2 rollup using the FuelVM, a custom virtual machine designed around parallel execution, state minimization, native account abstraction, and native assets. It targets blockchain developers building decentralized applications such as exchanges, prediction markets, and lending platforms. The network uses Sway, a domain-specific programming language developed by Fuel Labs, along with an all-in-one toolchain for creating, building, testing, and deploying projects.
