Overview
The Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) allows developers to build and deploy applications as tamperproof, serverless units called canisters, which run directly on the network without traditional cloud infrastructure, databases, or operating systems. It is used by individuals, enterprises, and governments to build applications ranging from AI-powered business software to digital wallets and messaging platforms. It replaces conventional cloud hosting and SaaS infrastructure by running applications as network code governed by a public decentralized system.
