## What we do

Stacks builds a layer-2 network secured by Bitcoin that lets holders earn native BTC yield without giving up custody of their assets. Developers use its Clarity smart contract language to build DeFi applications, wallets, exchanges, and other products on top of Bitcoin as a base layer. Its sBTC asset allows BTC to move between Bitcoin L1 and the Stacks L2 in a decentralized way, unlocking dormant Bitcoin capital for use in on-chain finance. The company also offers grants and developer tools for teams building on the network.
