About
Starknet operates a Validity Rollup that processes transactions off-chain and verifies them on Ethereum and Bitcoin using STARK cryptography, allowing complex decentralized applications to run at scale without sacrificing security. Developers build on Starknet using Cairo, a smart contract language designed for arbitrary business logic. It supports Native Account Abstraction, meaning all accounts are programmable smart accounts rather than fixed protocol-level constructs. Starknet also offers on-chain privacy for assets and applications through STRK20.
